Godfather of Gore - Documentary on Tom Savini

This two hour documentary explores the life and career of Tom Savini. Nicknamed "The Godfather of Gore," Tom is credited as one of the masterminds of modern special effects and has influenced countless. Starting with his term in Vietnam to the present day, we will shoot at the locations from two of Tom's classic films: Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. Tom Savini has been an integral part of the horror genre for the best part of 35 years. He defined gore with his revolutionary make up effects in George A Romero’s Dawn of the Dead and took over the 1980s killing people for a living just for our entertainment. It is our objective to take you on the journey of his life and influential career by talking to the man himself and with people he has influenced and worked with throughout his amazing tenure as the King of the Dead!
